Might have to drive the bravo just to get into rocky.
Probably a good thing you bring the bravo. Just based on our experience travelling down and back from QMHE last year the dirty old ford would probably just overheat or break down anyway There must have been about 7 of them broken down. Ask Shoey! Poor old dufas dave was copping it the whole way home being a ford guy and all.. <-- At least they circled the problem.

Chev just wrapped there problems up and sealed it with a Bow Tie
Mind you, it always intrigues me, when ask people who bag the crap out of , what components they have in there running gear, & they say they have 9" Diffs!!! I usually turn around and rip it back up them for needing parts to make there Chev/Holdens reliable

To be honest i couldn't care less what anyone drives if they are happy with it. It's fun to sink the boot into the ford guys every now and then though.. just for shits and giggles

OH HELL YEAH
I know it's getting off topic here, but, I just can't stand people who are so 1 eyed about the particular brand they like. Me personally, I appreciate a nice whatever, which used to be , but now, partial to the PENTASTAR products

Re: 6th QLD N.N.L TITLES 2010
Yes Yes, I get bagged for driving a Ford, but actually drove a Honda to QMHE. I actually started driving in Toranas and other Holdens, then transferred to Ford when I bought a XC. At the same time, I have forgotten how many times my Fords have gotten other people out of trouble. I.E. rescuing other people and their non-Ford cars from the side of the road or maybe it was just my good nature to help someone in trouble.
As mentioned by other people, I too appreciate the workmanship and the work that goes into improving the appearance/performance of any make of car. Every make and model have their respective pros and cons, as I found out after working on varying models over the last 20 years.
Credit must be given to every person out there that can find a motoring relic regardless of brand/model and transform it into a vehicle that appeals to everyone, especially its owner.
By the way, there is no perfect car, but Ford come fairly *^$&^*@ close.

It's like shooting fish in a barrel! It's all good dave. There's plenty of fords and other brands that i like. It's just that the whole ford vs holden thing is guaranteed to get a bite every time, and that afterall is what i was after! Any old rig done up nice is good in my books.
Anyway.... How about that show we've got coming up?

And I'd like a dollar for every Capri and Ford Hot Rod running a Chev/GM engine and for every Ford drag car with a Powerglide.Deadly wrote:Mind you, it always intrigues me, when ask people who bag the crap out of , what components they have in there running gear, & they say they have 9" Diffs!!! I can take my moelling gear and leave it in the car if any out of towners need to make some emergency repairs. I'll make sure there is super glue with it.

Re: 6th QLD N.N.L TITLES 2010
Hey Guys, Yes a great day was had by all. It was good to see so many members from this Forum attend, 16 in fact. nearly 40 Modellers in all.
A big thanks to Rocket, Tubman, Blue dog and Clutch for making the journey
to our show.
Well over 120 cars was again great to see with Clutch taking out Best Pre 49 and Best in Show with his jaw dropping Illuminator Well done mate!
The after party was tops as well finally pulling up stumps at 4am thanks to the same 4 guys mentioned above!
Anyhow we will do it all again next year.
Cheers
I hope somebody else took pics too, I didn't get many either.
Some of the lads kicking back after the show.
From left. Shoey, Rocket, Sturg, DV8V8, Clutch, Bluedog, Tubman from Cootamundra, Rowdy and Beno.
P.S. Rocket did you really drink that salt??

Re: 6th QLD N.N.L TITLES 2010
Wow, what a great weekend, I managed to get up there with 9 models in my overnight bag and happy to say they suffered no damage up or back, talk about nerve racking.
I'd like to thank all the boys and girls from the Rocky club for their hospitality, what a great bunch of people, nothing was a problem, I'd never met most of them but it was like we were long lost brothers, can't wait for next year. And a special thanks to Shoey from Cootamundra for a great, well organised show.
I'm also happy to say that my 58 Sedan Delivery won the 50 to 64 class and my 40 Ford ute (picture above, thanks Jason)got a Highly commended in the Pre 49 class, which I was stoked with.
Congrats to everyone else who had a win, especially Clutch who came away 2 class wins and the biggy as well as Beno who also had a couple of wins (have to make em cars next time Beno ).
I'm going for a ly down now to recover some more
