Re: the mongoose's duster
Nice 3 tone paint job and all those decals sure do bring it to life. Do you use some sort of setting solution to get the decals nice and flat?

Re: the mongoose's duster
Not when I can avoid it Joe. These laid pretty flat I was just worried about the brown mould spots, Biggest problem turned out to be some of the glue went a litle lumpy and some of the clear bits around the edges arent as nice as I would have liked.
Boothy ,I know exactly what you're saying mate and thanks

Re: the mongoose's duster
thanks guys
flat black paint. I have made boots
but unless I'm doing an all out "this is what Ild enter if we had competitions over here" type build Painting as you've noticed looks pretty good.
My method is paint the dizzy top then, cutting off ONE nub at a time drill that hole (just makes it easier to see). Repaint if needed then add a drop of superglue to a piece of glass on my desk. Then I'll dip the end of the plugwire(cut slightly longer than needed) into the glue SPARINGLY. Put it in a hole in the cap then repeat 8 more times (coil as well). Leave to dry this is when I usually glue it in place on the engine. When dry/set I start routing the wires to their respective holes (90% of the time my firing order is correct but thats more for me). Trim to lenght and break out the black paint to touch up the ends( both of them) then add a smidgeon of glue to the head end of the wire as you slide it home for the last time.
