HSV GTO Monaro
This Monaro is in a roundabout way how I found AMCC, I own a white VX Clubby (real car) and found a cavalier resin model, but then found out no longer available, so I thought I would try and find the next best thing to try and replica my car, so got my hands on this AMT GTO Pontiac, and contacted andy at Scale Automobilia, he hooked me up with the front and rear bumpers and R/H drive dash, and I made a start, then I stumbled across the cavalier VX Clubsport kit I had been looking for on ebay last week, turns out it was a AMCC member that sold me the kit and here I am. have decided to go orange instead on this one and will do the clubby white, will post Pic when I make a start on that one.

Tubman, the shop in Moonee Ponds is PJ’s Hobby world 03 9370 8220, I spoke to Don there, good bloke, and very helpful, they stock all TPB stuff, among other stuff, worth a call if anyone needs, I will use him again.

G'day Geoff, I got the wheels on ebay for about $13, then painted the centres (will need another coat) they are Aoshima, S-Parts Tire & Wheel Set #035. The resin kit was really good (better than I had expected) needs a bit of shaving here and there, and a bit of minor shaping (grinding) to the base, but all up worth the effort.

I'm swaying towards the black ones myself, I enjoy and hate choosing wheels on a project - keep the progress coming

Re: HSV GTO Monaro
A Few Mods going on (first time for me), just about got the wheels sorted, need to get the front down a mm or 2 more
shortened the diff and drilled a hole through for the axel
Had to file out the sump for the front axel, wont hold oil, but should look ok and that the main thing, If only probs like this on the real thing could be sorted with a dremel LOL

Re: HSV GTO Monaro
That's looking good so far - amazing what can be done with resin these days.
By the way PJ's has changed its name to Moonee Ponds Models, 33 Holmes Road, Moonee Ponds. The old name will disappear from all references soon.
