(Another!) Flamin 32 High Boy
Here's another test mule for flames. Revell 32 Ford Roadster, flathead from the 32 Sedan, 49 Mercury wheels, resin wide Whites, skull shifter. Otherwise pretty much box stock. Had to stretch my lazyness and add ignition leads with no bonnet sides and all! Paint is Tamiya flat black, flames are Tamiya lacquers decanted & airbrushed. No clearcoat. I've since modified the mask so that the flames don't go off the bonnet onto the cowl.
I should have swapped out the steering wheel for something more "period" but, you know.... lazy.
Enjoy!

Is this the '32 that was at Tumut? Absolutely the perfect period piece - just like they were built in the fifties. Those flames have worked out well. Can those masks be purchased?

Re: (Another!) Flamin 32 High Boy
Thanks Guys!
Yep, Tezza, it's the Tumut car. The flame masks are available to buy, www.stickitgraphics.com.au follow the link to my ebay, or send me a email chris@stickitgraphics.com.au..... should've checked if such "pimpin" is allowed on the forum!! Sorry in advance if not!

Re: (Another!) Flamin 32 High Boy
G'Day Fred, sure do. The 32 set has masks to do all options:
Full fenders & bonnet, no fenders, no bonnet, & anything between... You can actually do 2 cars with the set, 1 full fender & bonnet and a highboy with no bonnet at all. See my site for pics of the full body sedan.
Ta!

Me likee!
Although Tezz aint quite right, the four bar makes it only 99% the perfect traditional piece.
And no I'm not counting rivets, coz ya can have as many of them as ya like, just that 4 bars are new tradition not from my era.

Nicely done Mr Coit!
I was lucky enough to see Chris painting a flame job last week with one of his masks & he really made it look easy & the flames came out perfect too, cant wait to try some myself.

Re (Another) flamin 32High Boy
Chris,
Beaut looking little rod , flames and wheels set it off nicely.
My questions regarding the flames have been answered but what are the tail lights off?
After just using decal flames on the 32 sedan those stenciled/airbrushed look 200% better.
Peter.

Re: (Another!) Flamin 32 High Boy
Thanks again, people! Grey Six, unfortunately the tail lights are of unknown origin! Just something that fell out of the parts box...
