John's Picnic
Lardner Park Warragul, last weekend in October, before Cup Day.
Big model show as usual and there'll be heaps of 1/1 scale eye candy for everybody to admire.
The new venue makes the Horse racing track look a little lame, with wide open areas for cruising, lotsa lush green grass for parking and picninicking and all the usual purveyors of fine goodies inside out of the sun.
Gunna be a great weekend so make sure you get there early and bring your models for the show.

Re: John's Picnic
Me either unfortunately. Long weekend at the beach house with the family.
When I wrote this on the calendar months ago, I didn't actually realise it was Cup weekend. Stupid month to a page calendars always get me like that.

Re: John's Picnic
According to ozrodders.com it did go ahead. Apparently not as much rain at Lardner Park as in other areas but the drive home was a nightmare for many???

Re: John's Picnic
Did you survive the rain Tezza?
We gained a creek in the back yard and racing was cancelled at Mornington on Sunday.
I had to evacuate my shed. Not due to leaks but due to the noise of the rain on the tin roof meant I couldn't hear myself think.

Re: John's Picnic
Yeah mate we survived by keeping our heads above water! Fortunately our lot is well drained so no probs.
I didn't know the T'Gallant Cup was cancelled? I doubt the punters knew it because I saw a few staggering out of the racecourse during the afternoon.
