59 Chev ...another update

Hi guys and gals. Just a quick one to show the start of the 59 I mentioned in the vid I did. My all time favorite chev model. Love the fins and the tear drop taillights and just the 'bigness' of the whole car. ! Hopeful do more soon but it has not stopped raining so I have not done a lot.

OK first what the box says ..


Chassis and floor pan are all 1 so its primered ready to sparay and then I will detail the chassis etc.


Body has been cleaned and primered also ready for the paint...



and some paint of the bits still on the sprew.


And a few shots of this work bench. This was done at a place called Fernhook Falls. Really nice place. I have a video of the area ready to upload ...just need to extracum Digitum and put it up on you tube.




Paint will be 2 tone - you will have to wait to see what 2 colors tho. Anyhoot just to let ya know im still building. Cheers Dean

nature, priorities ah, look forward to seeing this progress mate.

I have to agree with you mate, It's probably my favourite chev model. Two wone would look awesome, two colours in my mind look alright, but yeah..

Na to keep the ants off the table. Little tiny black bastards that got into everything so some barrier spray around the legs of the table and hey presto. Dont like using sprays but hate picking ants out of the sugar etc even more :-P

I'm building the engine out of one of these ATM to put in something else - they go together well.

going to look great once done,hope it does not get broken on the way back home.

Has it been THAT long ??? Wow ....anyway here is the latest. Chassis and engine done. Still waiting for Mr whoflungdung in China to send me the right parts for the airbrush (Wanted photos of the missing parts hehehe .....)

Cant paint the body until I get the parts so I will play the waiting game. Anyhoot .... the chassis and floor is all 1 so I have painted and detailed it to (Hopefully) give the chassis some life of its own .......

Ok so finally bought another air brush as Mr whichkungfoothat in China was unable to help. Fair credit tho he did try. So out with the 59 and set up my work bench for the day.



Got the first coat of black on the body



and did a little tidy up in the engine and floorpan area



And sure as eggs (What a strange saying that is) the sun went behind the clouds and its now drizzling rain
. I recon I could make it rain in the Sahrah ....just get the model gear out hehehe

Anyways ...more later when I get some more paint on ...if it fines up
