QMHE DRAGSTRIP DISPLAY CONTROL TOWER
With the fast approaching QMHE finally got a start on the control tower yesterday and got a fair bit done which i'am happy with between doing dad duties.Started with a peice of plywood for the slab and stumps are dowel which i took a knife to before cutting them to length to give them that misshapen look like real stumps have.Aluminum foil as used for the termite caps on the top of the stumps which a lot of this detail wont be seen once the outside sheeting is on but have made so the second level can lift off to make easy viewing of the inside. As you can see by the photo's most of the workers keep standing around and kowalski the forman always has a beer in his hand even before beer o'clock, so guess its just up to me to keep building Stay tuned

Re: QMHE DRAGSTRIP DISPLAY CONTROL TOWER
You've put more thought and detail into that than i have on my real house. probably because its me with the beer in hand all the time.

Umm Ahhh ...OH&S will be round there .... Not a fluro jacket to be seen and no hard hats ...tisk tisk.
I love the way you have given the build a bit of feel using the little blokes. Well done.

That's looking awesome.
I noticed the foreman has no site plans is this going to be an issue and will it meet council approval? lol

Re: QMHE DRAGSTRIP DISPLAY CONTROL TOWER
Have made a bit more progress on the tower as you can see ,the main contruction is now done so it just needs some trimming ,paint and outfitting.I have used balsa and the the iron is corragated carboard that used to be available at crazy clarkes but was lucky enough to get some off shoey,Thanks mate. and yes the foreman has the blueprints but he wont even let me look at 'em.
