1938 Buick Century Convertible

This 1:18 scale diecast 1938 Buick Century Convertible Coupe is from Signature Models. Nice to see a Buick for a change. The Buick Century was built for speed. It was the dominant car in its class in the National Hot Rod Association for 25 years from 1937 to 1962. The secret to its speed was the light body (under 4000 lbs) and a powerful 320.2 cubic inch, 141 bhp inline-8 Dynaflash engine. The model has the optional side mounts and a rumble seat rather than a full trunk. It lived up to its reputation as the “Best of the Buicks”.
