I need to do something different with this willys, as all of the  5 i have done, all have the big fat rear wheels, so time to bring out the big and faggoty rims for this one..

The first plan was to get it lower, so i removed all the wishbones,  did a little plastic removal around the engine mount area
and then drilled and pinned the wishbones so that they look right, and easier to lower..

I agree with vcv8273 nothing wrong with the wheels, in my opinion they dont suit the Willys, too big and modern.

But as the saying goes, "its your build, so build it how you want"

All good Luke, they don't suit it perfectly, but just had to try something different on it,
and try to build it so they do suit the style, so you might not like the  pearl purple paint about to hit it either..  Laughing

The interior is all painted satin white, with a touch of purple in the door trims.

Dale as always, lookin GOOD!!!

What ya do to that frame? The front, you cut off the A frames, and turned up-side-down to lower it, yes? (I'm still learning the "lowering techniques") so.... you know me, I had to ask!

I have one of these too! NOT sure where I'm gonna go with mine yet! Hell, I haven't even figured out what motor I'll put into mine!

That pretty well sums it up mate, and by making them movable, i can adjust the height accordingly..

Well, the color is sorted, it is a purple pearl nail polish..

The modern street rod is what you do so well. Such a pleasure to follow along in a style I know I'll probably never tackle. I especially like how you're always thinking several steps ahead, permitting things like finishing out the undercarriage and panels in anticipation of the body color later on. Looking forward to seeing more...

Thanks guys, Bernard, i always have a visual picture in my head of what i want it to look like when it's finished mate..

It makes it easier to keep the flow going while building it.

It's polished, and ready for assembly over the christmas break.

Cheers John and Tim,  we're nearly done, had to do some side cut outs on the bonnet,
finally got the bugger to fit and sit down, also using some old side pipes, and made some mounts
for them, so they have the rubber in them to stop vibrations.
