willys pro street
Here is another willys I have on the go. Painted in duplicolor gloss black/alpine blue rattle can and decided to use the kits supplied decals. Have cleared the body, just waiting on a good day to clear the bonnet then I can give it a real good polish. Scratch built a wheelie bar for it but still unsure whether I will use it or not. Didn't have a motor for it, went to another kit, but found one of the revell's 426 hemi's in the parts box and for the induction am using the twin supercharged weber equipped top end from one of the revell's pro street corvette kits. Have stripped it from chrome and have painted the superchargers semi-gloss black and the webers in metallic aluminium just for that different look and am working on the belt and pulleys at the moment. Was never really a fan of the kits front rims, look like 13 inch rims to me, so checked the parts box and found these rims. Fronts are from a 33 willys gasser kit and the rears are from a plum crazy 57 chev funny car that I parted out. Have the underside of it all mocked up and am happy with the way it looks. Suprised with how well the exhaust has come out and its all from the parts box. Think the headers are from linberg ramchargers kit, the exhaust pipe and muffler from the dodge pro street superbee kit and am using the exhaust tips from the original willys kit, with no modifications and looks like it was meant for it. Also have painted the interior and have it mocked up with the interior panels and seats. I modified the door trims by filling in the patterns and speaker housing with super glue smooth it flat then added some half round styrene along including the rear firewall panel. Then painted in sandstone and trimmed the half round with bmf and the seats are from the dodge stealth kit. Made up some plug wires to fit but still have to make up some boots for them before I glue them to the covers. Also made up the fuel lines and some fittings for it and will be making a regulator for it tonight. Hoping to get this one done by the end of the week if not by new years so I can say I at least finished one this year. Cheers and thanks for looking Steve

Re: willys pro street
Was toying with a similar set up in a 41 plymouth. Have a slant six stashed away with a set of triple webers and I have also have on the go a slant manifold that I am modifying to accept a supercharger set up.

Re: willys pro street
Yeah, I got the '41 Plymouth as well so I'm kinda up in the air on it, not sure which car will get what motor just yet (I haven't even started anything on either of them to date), so.....
I too plan to make up a intake for the Slant 6 for a supercharger..... I got part of that intake started, I just can't get the distance right as it seems....

Re: willys pro street
Thanks Joe for your comment. Was hoping to get this one finished before the new years but as usual life got in the way with my son in a four car pile up just before xmas then him moving in with his girlfriend after xmas and my twin girls birthday on new years eve and turning my son's room into a model/girls games room has been a busy one. But have had a few hours over the past day or so to try to get the motor finished up. Plans were to remove the piping on the nos set up and install my own bent out of steel rod but with having the blowers painted and fixed to the motor found it better to leave alone then mess it up so will be using the bent steel rod on my next one. Blacked washed the nos pipes and does look a lot better and used transparent red on the fittings.Blower belt is just in a mock up position as I still need to strip the belt assembly then repaint it and have a decal for the blower belt. Cheers and thanks for looking Steve
