custom 49 merc
got biten by custom bug,going to build a 49 merc roadster ute front 49 mrec rear 56 ford F100,it's going to be down in the weeds,here is photo of it.

ya know what u mean by been on 2 forum's u have to remeber what u post and say the same thing been working on the grill,still thinking on engine for this one.

a oops me picked up wrong pickup bed it sould of been the blue one as it's the right scale the other one is the wrong scale,that's what ya get not thinking,here is right one.

That looks a hell of a lot better ,I was wondering about the other tray ,, the other tray just didn't look right being that much lower . Definitely an awesome build .

Forgot the 56 bed was in container of oven cleaner outside, I looked high and low for it could not find it so me looked at the 53 bed not thinking that it was diffrent scale,rembered this morning were the 56 bed was the oven cleaner did not look at removing paint will look at some thing else.

waiting for oven cleaner to remove paint off F100 bed,will be painting it gold base with ultraviolet pearl with clear top coat and weather to warm up again.

got paint off stepside,put coat of white primer on it turned pink the body is molded in metallic blue,used white primer last time me painted it ,so put black coat on it.this one is going to give me more grey hairs

change of plans with the merc pickup,what ever the red was has came back put white over the black it turned pink again so looked in my part's box for another bed found a 55 chevy one,look's OK.

Thank's doorslamerfan,for tip about silver will look at that,I striped the paint off and sanded it back to the molded metalic blue plastic,still trying to work out the red as it was primered light grey then changed the colour a few time's but no red,it's the frist time that I have used this brand of white primer it's a large rattle can by power-plus,have used motospray before with no problem,this one is sprays on thinner may of gotten bad one.will re-strip it and try again

yeah might be pigments in the primer itself. I know I painted a black model with grey primer ,white roof then a pearl white ,looked really good cleared with duplicolour clear and had a pink stripe come through on roof . Stripped it repainted same order same thing said f^%kit and left it, its only noticeable on some angles.

Cool 40 2 door,ya it's p----d me off so put it away for the time been and finishing a few other builds,will pick up new rattle can of primer.
