Re: Tri-Five Community Build
Allan - you seem to have more than your fair share of paint related bad luck. Did you paint over a mirror, shoot a black cat with a paintball gun or kill an Old English Sheepdog?
Whatever, you get them good in the end.

Re: Tri-Five Community Build
You guys are quick.
I'm still shaving trim and filling holes. No-where near paint yet.
I didn't know that '55 came with separate chrome DSF. I like them like that. They should do it more often.

Re: Tri-Five Community Build
its the newish (18mth or thereabouts) release nice kit very little flash so very little tidyup work, even a bit of thought about attachment points for the sprue.
Stock or very mild st machine with stock wheels or the ones mrs d and I are using next couple of projects will be bears to work with though.

Re: Tri-Five Community Build
Well i've started another car well two actually, Shock horror for those who know me that is quite shocking am a bit of a sporadic bulider. My first is a 55 chevy same as Bretts and the other is a 37 ford coupe for my dad. Heres what i've done on my 55 so far.
Colour is PPG puple haze with a purle nail polish over the top to get the colour I wanted. I want to scuff it back and repaint the polish before i clear. Which I'm hoping will make it pop.

Re: Tri-Five Community Build
I'm in now that I have realised its not just Chevs. Got a little something on Ebay a while back. It's a `55 year non US.
Guesses.
Might also do one of the `56/`57 Fords I have or one of the `57 Chryslers.
Is there a finish date, or is it open ended.
